Region 5 Roll Up: Meet Recaps-February and March 2024

Region 5 Roll UP on the invitationals from around the region for February and March. These are the final meets and the last opportunities to clean and tune up routines for the championship season which begins this week. Just a reminder, the requirement to be included in this post is multiple age groups or more than 10 AA’s in an age group from a variety of gyms. ** Meets that the Insider covers onsite are also not highlighted in the post.

NGC Flip’r SOUL Invite hosted by Naperville Gymnastics (Illinois)

Results: Level 10 Junior | Senior

The Junior age group was won by Madison Hall from Professional Gymnastics Center with a 35.75. Maddie Stewart from Legacy Elite continues her comeback from her achilles injury in 2023 finishing 2nd with a 35.7 but won vault with a 9.775 for her Yurchenko 1 1/2 and floor with a 9.425. In 3rd was Legacy Elite’s Makayla Townsend with a 35.05 and claimed the bar title with a 9.15 and competed her Yurchenko 1/1.

The Senior age group was lead by 2024 Nastia Qualifier Madison Gustitus from Legacy Elite with a 37.2 winning beam and floor 9.65. Aubree Guinee finished 2nd AA with a 35.5 winning vault with a 9.65 while Anna Kristianson was 3rd AA 33.875 and won bars with a 9.3, both from Legacy Elite.

Legacy Elite Classic hosted by Legacy Elite (Illinois)

Results: Level 10 Junior | Senior

The Junior age group only had 2 gymnastics doing all around with Legacy Elite’s Ellie Mayer winning the AA with a 35.95 also winning bars (9.275), beam and floor (9.35). Grace Zhong from Legacy Elite finished 2nd with a 33.925. Gigi Glagkou from Gymnastics Factory won vault 9.15, and Makayla Townsend from Legacy Elite tied Ellie for 1st on bars 9.275.

The Senior age group had 4 compete all four events with top 3 being from Legacy Elite. Delanie Kelly took the top spot with a 37.75 along with winning bars 9.55, floor 9.45, and vault 9.425. Aubree Guinee was 2nd with a 36.85 tying for 1st on vault and winning beam with a 9.4. Jasmine Hou finished 3rd AA with a 35.975

BIG Classic hosted by BIG Gymnastics (Ilinois)

Results: Level 10 Junior A | Senior A | Senior B | Senior C

The Junior age group was won by Premier West’s Nora Pomatto with a 36.85 and grabbed the vault 9.425 and beam 9.325 as well. Ella Kaufman from Phenom was 2nd AA with a 36.575 and won bars 9.15 and tied for the floor title with a 9.3. Marissa Tori from Aspire was 3rd with a 36.175. Makenna Mauk from Aspire shared the floor title with a 9.3.

In the Senior A age group, Libby Tobias from Aspire Gymnastics won with a 35.7 and won bars. Alison Pease from Premier West was 2nd with a 35.15 and 3rd went to Nicole James from BIG with a 35.05 and won beam with a 9.1. Antonette Baker from Gym Kinetics won vault 9.275 while Raegan McCarty from Flip Star won floor with a 9.5.

Ariana Goodwin from Phenom won the Senior B age group with a 36.55. Emma Becker from BIG finished 2nd with a 36.00 and won floor with a 9.5. Kate Peebles from Phenom finished 3rd with a 35.725. Peyton Pech from Aspire won vault with a 9.75 and beam 9.225 while Carly Nguyen from Premier West won bars with a 9.125.

The Senior C age group had the highest all around score of 38.325 achieved by Alexis Holmes from Aspire Gymnastics. Alexis also won vault 9.65, bars 9.725, and floor 9.6. Rachel Finke from Premier West was 2nd with a 36.425 and Nora Sherman from BIG was 3rd with a 36.05. Meredith Kowalski from Phenom won beam with a. 9.5.

Great Western Invite hosted by Premier West (Illinois)

Results: Level 10 Pony Group | Cowgirl Group

The youngest age group (Pony) was won by Emma Becker from BIG with a 37.35 also winning bars with a 9.425. Makenna Mauk from Aspire finished 2nd with a 37.125 and won floor 9.375. Libby Tobias from Aspire tied for 2nd with a 37.125. Alexandra Karkowski from IK won beam with a 9.65.

The oldest age group (Cowgirl) was won by Kailtyn Schwab from Aspire with a 37.725 and won vault 9.75. Alexis Holmes from Aspire was 2nd with a 37.625 and won bars (9.675) and beam (9.6). Aliyah Kelly from UGA was 3rd AA with a 37.5 and won floor with a 9.5.

Yurchenko Invite hosted by CITY Club (Illinois)

Results: Level 10

Natalia Pudelko from CITY won the all around with a 36.325. Isla Lazzari from CITY was 2nd AA 36.25 and won vault 9.525 and floor 9.25. Caroline Bork of North Shore was 3rd 35.9 and won bars 9.05. Gealy LeBron from City won beam 9.375.

Lucky Invite hosted by Libertyville (Illinois)

BIG Gymnastics Lucky Level 10 Team Champions

Results: Level 10 All Ages

Julia Rausa from Libertyville won the all around with a 38.075 and won bars with a 9.75. Nora Sherman from BIG was 2nd in the AA 37.2. BIG’s Emma Becker won vault 9.725, while Bridget Karl won be a beam 9.35.

JPAC Midwest Showdown hosted by JPAC (Indiana)

Results: Level 10 Junior 13-15 | Junior 16 | Senior 17 | Senior 18

In the Junior 13-15 age group Kylie Smith from Cincinnati won the AA with a 38.525 and claimed the junior Nastia Cup spot. She won vault 9.7 and beam 9.675. Queen City’s Quinlyn Rollins was 2nd with a 37.7 and won bars 9.675. Elaina Silney from Cincinnati was 3rd with a 37.375.

Anelise Johnson from Capitol City was 2nd in the AA 35.975 in the Junior 16 age group. Ella Kate Parker from Cincinnati won bars 9.625 and floor 9.475.

In the senior 17 age group Capitol City’s Macy Nihart won the all around with a 37.15 and won floor with a 9.475. Ella Hargraves from JPAC was 2nd AA 36.6 and won vault 9.275. Brooke Boggess from Queen City won bars with a 9.625.

In the Senior 18 age group, Lisa Szeibert from JPAC won the AA 38.275 and won the senior Nastia Cup spot. Lisa also won bars 9.675 and floor 9.625. In 2nd was Ellie Monahan from Cincinnati with a 37.525 and won vault with a 9.8. Josey Kiefer from Cincinnati was 3rd with a 37.225.

Circle of Stars hosted by DeVeaus (Indiana)

Results: Level 10 Junior A | Junior B | Senior

In the Junior A age group Cailyn Waibel from Bay Valley won the AA 36.875. Emma Roberts from All Starz Gymnastics was 2nd with a 36.475 and won bars with a 9.475. Carla Fronc from Crystal Lake was 3rd all around 36.35 and won vault 9.5 along with beam 9.55. Gigi Giagkou from Gymnastics Factory and Khilee Morris Krause from Hunts tied on floor 9.45.

The Junior B age group was won by Annabelle Alber from Mid Michigan with a 36.625. Makenna Brooks from Kokomotion was 2nd AA with a 36.425 and won beam 9.475 and floor 9.45. Ava Adams from Cincinnati was 3rd with a 35.075. Claire Donahue from Bay Valley won vault with a 9.3 and Omie Ellis from Michigan Elite won bars with a 9.45,

The Senior age group was won by Kennedy Cooper from Michigan Elite with a 36.575 and won vault 9.525, and bars 9.4. Lelia Base from Bartlett was 2nd 36.075 and 3rd was Olivia Dittmar from Bay Valley with a 35.85. Aubrey Patterson won beam with a 9.3 and Alisia Murray from Hunts won floor 9.6.

Wildfire hosted by All American Flames (Michigan)

Results: Level 10 All Ages

Cady Duplissis from Champion won the all around with a 37.375 and the bar title with a 9.45. Audra Butler from Euro Stars was 2nd AA with a 36.675 and won beam with a 9.15. Anelise Johnson from Capitol City was 3rd AA 36.325 and won floor with a 9.5. Clara Aulbrook from All American Flames tied for 1st on floor with a 9.5 and Noella Marshall from All American Flames won vault 9.4.

Buckeye Classic hosted by Buckeye Gymnastics (Ohio)- *** Results are a bit abnormal for SF2 and SF3***

SF2 (Level 10)A Group | B Group

Addie Sarisky from Olympic Dreams, 2024 Nastia Qualifier, won the A-group all around with a 38.6 winning bars 9.775, beam 9.7 and floor 9.675. Her AA score was the highest across all 3 level 10 sessions. Alli Szymanski from Set-10 was 2nd AA 35.725 finishing 3rd on beam with a 9.15. Emma Roberts from All Starz Gymnastics was 3rd 35.5.

SF3 (Level 10)- OP Group (feel this is missed labeled/uploaded wrong but thats what I got)

Jo Jo Valahovic was 2nd at least on this list with a 38.85 but won vault 9.775, not sure if she did Yurchenko full or the 1 1/2. The floor champion was out of Champion Gymnastics (KY) Kendall Guy took the title with a 9.525.

SF4 (Level 10)- A Group | B Group | C Group | D Group

Sadie Goldberg of Buckeye Gymnastics won the A group all around 37.875 along with vault 9.5, beam 9.575 and floor 9.7. In 2nd was Esphyr Koren from Perfection Gymnastics with a 36.8. Addie Oiler Velez from Buckeye was 3rd 36.725 and won bars with a 9.2.

Darielis Aviles from Perfection won the B Group AA 37.225 capturing the vault 9.6, bars 9.1 and floor 9.675 titles in the process. Premier West’s Nora Pomatto was 2nd 37.025 winning beam with a 9.375.

Molly Sabin from Flytz won the C group AA with a 37.35 and won bars with a 9.35. In 2nd was Sophia Banky from Buckeye with a 36.925, winning beam 9.375 and floor 9.7. Riley Shepard from Universal was 3rd 36.825.

In D group, Ava Wellmeier from Universal was 2nd AA 37.05 and took the vault title with a 9.625. Fellow teammate from Layla Bobek finished 3rd 36.825 and won bars with a 9.525. The floor champion tumbled her awesome full in to a floor title as Emerson Smith scored a 9.725 for the win.

Kalahari Luau Invite (Ohio)

SF4 (Level 10)- A Group | B Group | C Group | D Group

In the A group, Gym World dominated the leader board taking the top 3 spots. In first Brielle Rousseau scored a 37.15 and won floor with a 9.5. Peyton Scott was 2nd with a 36.75 and won bars with a 9.3. Lily Perse won vault 9.25 on her way to a 3rd place 36.575.

In the B group, Lauren Eyssen was 2nd AA with a 36.4 and Ella Fox from Lake Erie won floor with a 9.45.

Jo Jo Valahovic from Gym World won the C group with a 38.3 and took the bars 9.575 and floor 9.75 event titles. Emma Nolan from Xtreme Gymnastics was 3rd AA with a 35.875.

Kentucky Winter Classic hosted by Xcel Gymnastics (Kentucky)

Level 10 – All Groups

Autumn Rardin from Gym Xtreme won her age group with a 37.825. Riley Carmen from Gym Xtreme finished 3rd AA 37.475 in her age group and won bars 9.775.

Maggie Waterstreet won vault in her age group with a 9.775.

Carly Stalder from Moceanu’s Gymnastics won the AA 36.175 as well as vault 9.575 and floor 9.475 in her age group. Ella Hargraves from JPAC finished 3rd AA 36.125.

Brooke Boggess from Queen City won bars with a 9.85. Rani Nigam also from Queen City won beam with a 9.5.

Katie Ferguson from JPAC was 3rd on bars 9.625

Derby Classic hosted by Champion Gymnastics (Kentucky)

Level 10- JR A | JR B | JRC | SR A | SR B

The JRA age group was won by Reyna Campbell from Integrity Gymnastics with a 37.175 as well as the beam title 9.45. Esphyr Koren was 2nd AA 37.075 and claimed the bars title 9.2. Reagan Dingess from Buckeye was 3rd AA 36.825. The vault 9.7 and floor 9.625 champion was Darielis Aviles from Perfection.

In the JRB age group, Katelyn Bjork won bars 9.1, beam 9.25, and floor 9.2 on the way to the all around title with a 36.55. Emily Johnson from Champion (KY) was 3rd AA 34.225.

Miley Watkins from The Flip Zone won the JRC age group with a 36.525 and won bars with a 9.25. Sophia Banky from Buckeye finished 3rd all around 36.225 and won floor with a 9.6. Maeve Ruble from Perfection won beam with a 9.15.

The SRA age group was won by Cincinnati’s Ellie Monahan with a 37.525 and took the beam title with a 9.6. Emerson Smith from Buckeye Gymnastics was 2nd AA 35.975 but won the vault 9.65 and floor 9.675. Kendall Guy finished 3rd AA 35.325. The champion on bars was Taylor Mann from Perfection with a 9.225.

Alexis Schulman from Cincinnati Gymnastics won the SRB age group with a 35.825. In 3rd place was Iva Hasko from All Around gymnastics with a 34.825. Chris Cutler from The Flip Zone won vault with a 9.65, and Breelyn Rickey from Perfection won bars 9.25 and beam 9.525.
