Nastia Seven Intro Video
Kentucky International Convention Center played host to the 2024 Nastia Cup in conjunction with the Winter Cup elite competition. This was the second consecutive year the event was hosted in Louisville. The Nastia Cup is a very popular event that level 10’s around the country set as a goal at the start of the club invitationals begin in January. Twenty two invitationals around the country were designated as qualifiers with one junior (15 and younger) and one senior (16 and older) qualifier from each moved onto the Nastia Cup.
Region 5 is always well represented at the cup each year and 2024 was much the same with seven participating in this years competition. We had many new faces to the cup this year with only one of the seven having competed in a previous Nastia Cup that being Gabby Van Frayen from Gym Xtreme.
The junior champion came out of Region 5 and Cincinnati gymnastics. Ella Kate Parker, competing in her first year in DEV program since she was a level 6 (former junior elite) won the competition with an all around total of 38.075. Ella Kate nailed her new Yurchenko layout 1/2 on vault and grabbed the individual beam title with a very solid routine featuring her beautiful aerial layout step out for a 9.775

Kylie Smith from Cincinnati tied for 5th in the junior all around with a 37.35. Kylie was a level 9 in 2023 and has made a quick rise into the level 10 ranks. She opens her floor routine with a very nice full-in, competes a triple flight, and has a big Jaeger on bars. She was a fall on beam away from making it a top 2 sweep in the all around. However, Kylie broke into the top five tying for 5th place on floor with a 9.55.
Another level 9 in 2023, Quinlyn Rollins from Queen City struggled a bit on bars but was pretty solid on beam for a 7th place 9.375. She has a very nice layout layout series but omitted it due to being slightly off on her layout.
The top finisher in the senior age group was Madison Gustitus from Legacy Elite who finished 11th in the all around with a 37.85. Madison is always fun to watch on floor and her performance at Nastia earned her a 7th place finish with this 9.7 routine.
Stuck half in half out and a top 5 finish on bars for Olympic Dreams Addie Sarisky along with a solid overall performance landed her in 13th place with a 37.775. Check out her bar routine below.

Lisa broke into the top 10 on beam with a 9.55, attacking every landing including her two back handsprings to 1 1/2 dismount which she stuck cold. Gabby had a strong bar routine but changed her floor routine a bit since Coaches Spectacular switching up the first pass from a triple full to a front layout front double full which she stepped out of bounds but nailed her double back last pass for a 9.425.
