This past weekend the Region 5 Gymnastics Insider attended the 2016 “Born to Fly” Invitational hosted by Hunts Gymnastics Academy in Chesterfield Michigan. This is the 3rd year HGA has hosted this Military themed invitational, with fighter pilots, color guard, medals resembling dog tags and a cozy embroidered blanket for the All-Around winners.
For many who attended this meet, especially Level 7-10, it was their final tune-up before the Championship season begins in two weeks. The Level 7-10 Michigan State Meet is set to kick off Friday March 18th in Midland Michigan. This years level 9/10 session was high energy, the crowd was great, the judges were fantastic and the teams were on fire! There was also a special recognition at the start of the competition honoring not only the Hunts Gymnastics Senior Gymnasts, but all of the Seniors in the competition.
The Hunts “Born to Fly” Invitational was a great end to the regular season and a great lead up to the Championship season to come. Below are the routines and results from the level 9/10 session. Enjoy!
