This Eye on 5 features Olympia Gymnastics Level 10 Matilyn Waligora. Mati has been one of Region 5’s best most consistent athletes over the past few years and continues to make her mark as one of the nation’s best level 10’s. In 2016, Mati qualified to the Nastia Cup, finished 2nd on bars and 6th AA at JO Nationals and qualified to her 2nd all star team. Find out more on Mati and her all in attitude.

In honor of the upcoming Region 5 Banquet, we here at Region 5 Insider have compiled a set of fun, different and special awards to honor the hard work of our Region 5 athletes. Every year, athletes from around the region are honored at the Region 5 banquet for various reasons, so we thought we would give our own annual awards to the Region 5 athletes and coaches as well. So, I am proud to introduce the 1st Annual Yahtzee Awards!!!!!

For the next two weeks you will have the opportunity to view the nominees and vote for your favorites. The winners will be informed, announced and posted the week of the Region 5 Banquet.

We go behind the scenes with the Region 5 Senior D’s at JO Nationals this past may in Fort Worth, Texas. They take us along on their experience at JO Nationals that is only found in Region 5. From the team meeting to training and on the floor during competition, we watch them bond and become a team. This group stuck together and competed as one to finish in 3rd as a team in the regional team competition.

AllAccess: 2016 Super Camp @Integrity |Region 5 Training Camps

Take an all access look into our Region 5 Training Camps. Integrity Gymnastics in Ohio hosted Super Camp the first training camp of the 2016-17 season. This was the first camp under the new format featuring rotations of drills along with the event skill training rotations. Region 5 is known for the cheers and team unity and this has been incorporated into the camp schedule as well as sessions on nutrition, goal setting, interviewing, etc. This is the #R5Difference.
