The week is here 2019 Region 5 Championships are 4 days away. As we approach the action packed weekend, we will are focusing on the up & coming gymnasts that you may not be aware of from each state in our great Region to keep your eye on. Region 5’s Twenty Five “Ones to Watch” continues with 5 athletes from the Bluegrass state….Kentucky. These athletes either are first year level 10’s or looking to qualify onto their first Region 5 JO Dream Team.

Senior Saturday: Karlie Franz, Hunts Gymnastics | Helpful, Kind and Dedication
Karlie is a senior level 10 at Hunts Gymnastics. She represented Region 5 at JO Nationals in 2017 and helped her junior F team to the JO National Age group team title. Karlie is a role model in the gym and does what she can to always help the younger generation with advice or encouragement. She has gained a lot in her life by being a Hunts gymnast and credits her coach Shannon Miles on helping her with confidence and molding her into the person she is today. Karlie will be headed to Kent State University in the fall.
