ALUM-day on Wednesday for NCAA Week 4

0

presented by: Full Out Recruiting

The door on week 4 is closed and we have an all around mix of routines for you to enjoy. The power and shape on vault with the precision and aggressiveness on beam to the dynamic and performance on floor, this weeks alums do it all.

Make sure you check out our R5 College Salute Youtube Channel and subscribe for more videos and podcast segments all season long. We talk everything R5 Alums on the R5 College Salute Podcast every Wednesday during the NCAA season. Check it out and subscribe to never miss an episode. Now…. Press Play on these 9 routines.

Layla Hammer, Maryland Beam 9.825

Triple flight is exploding in the NCAA and Layla is here for the party! Her two BHS to a layout is solid not to mention her very nice kick over front.

Kennedy Griffin, Missouri Vault 9.85

Power to spare, Kennedy has a very nice Yurchenko full and hope we see the 1 1/2 as the season progresses.

Mila Brusch, Denver Floor 9.9

The power in tumbling and performance that Mila shows has always been her trademark. The ease at which she tumbles and lands chest up and with control is why she scores well on floor every week.

Taylor DeVries, Oregon State Bars 9.8

Bars has always been Taylor playground and that continues in college. However what has changed is her consistency at finding the landing on her dismount.

Gabby Riley, Kent State Vault 9.85

The block, form and shape on Gabby’s vault is something that needs to be spotlighted. Oh and that landing is not to shabby either!

Ava Wellmeier, CMU Floor 9.825

Ava’s floor has always been one of those routines that is a must watch. She loves floor and you see it come out through her performance. Ava can tumble as well and I am sure we will see her full-in (that is awesome by the way) be added later in the season.

Sydney Jelen, Utah State Beam 9.875

Sydney’s beam may only be out done by her double layout off bars. She has a very nice aerial BHS series and just attacks the routine from start to finish. Side note: Her and Layla Hammer are club teammates and just two in a long line of great Legacy Elite beam workers.

Mati Waligora, Arkansas Bars 9.875

Mati is always exciting to watch on bars as she really swings her skills with great amplitude. Mati is a 5th year senior transfer from Alabama for those who were confused.

Ella Schell, Iowa State Floor 9.8

Nothing like performing to the home crowd on floor and Ella did just that. Though the Rudi stag jump was a bit out of control, I think this is an eye catching way to open the floor routine.

presented by: Full Out Recruiting

Week 3 is in the books and Region 5 Alums had some killer floor routines this week. We also have the pleasure of watching 2 very nice beam routines and a bar routine that I always try to catch every week. This ALUM-day however is for the dramatic, power and front twisting.

Make sure you check out our R5 College Salute Youtube Channel and subscribe for more videos and podcast segments all season long. We talk everything R5 Alums on the R5 College Salute Podcast every Wednesday during the NCAA season. Check it out and subscribe to never miss an episode. Now…. Press Play on these 10 routines.

Sarah Moraw, Minnesota Beam 9.85

The 2024 Big Ten beam champion does what the champions do…. NAIL IT! Her height off the beam and form during her skills on beam are some of the best.

Stephanie Macasu, Towson 9.875

Stephanie is always at home on bars with her nice Ray and flying Pac salto.

Hailey Klein, Arkansas Floor 9.8

Hailey’s floor routines are always a nice mix of the dramatic with the power. She always finds the cameras and gives you the eye!

Cassie St. Clair, WMU Floor 9.85

Cassie is another one who performs with a mix of dramatic and power. Her front double full at the end of her routine is better than many who do it first… soooo good! But Cassie can you please bring back the Bars Shousanova on Floor…. PLEASE!!!!

Olivia Coppola, Illinois Beam 9.825

Olivia does a difficult beam series of aerial round off which she has been doing for years and this one was very well done. Her splits on her leaps and jumps are to the 180 and sharp which makes them stand out in this routine.

Sara Wabi, Illinois State Floor 9.875

Sara has very nice twisting shapes and makes her front double full first pass look so sharp. She also ends with a nice rudi layout step out that has nice amplitude.

Ally Schaupp, WMU Floor 9.85

Ally is very good at taking all her movements to the max. She has very nice artistry and just following suit with her fellow alums in this post, the twisting technique on both passes very well done.

Madison Greene, SEMO Floor 9.85

BIG RUDI out of a front layout for her first pass, Maddie always takes command on floor and gets some serious bounce even in leaps especially on her two wolf fulls!!!!

Lauren Main, Wisconsin Lacrosse Bars 9.75 (D-3)

Lauren does a great job of hitting her handstands in this routine and does a very nice piked Jaeger. This is a great example on how good the routines in D3 are….. JUDGES are you LISTENING!!!!!

Kaitlyn Grimes, Ohio State Floor 9.85

Kaitlyn does a very big double plke in her opening pass and competing a 3 pass routine which is almost a minority in this NCAA season.

presented by: Full Out Recruiting

Week 2 is in the books and Region 5 Alums had a good week on the competition floor. We had 10 alums debut routines this week. Four of those routines are included in this week’s ALUMonday on Wednesday.

Haley Tyson, Iowa 9.825 Beam

Check out Haley’s triple flight and locked in dismount. She has waited a long time for this moment and she took full advantage of it in her Senior year.

Genae Daniel, EMU 9.825 Vault

Genae always goes big on vault and with a very nice Yurchenko Full! Could we see a 1 1/2 in the future???

Savannah Miller, Oregon State 9.85 Floor

Savannah is the lead off you want on your team and she continues to put up big scores for the Beavers in that first position. I am always hoping she will surprise us with her full in first pass but it’s not about me!

Madison Gustitus, San Jose State 9.85 Beam (Debut)

Madison kicks off her NCAA career with this very nice beam routine. They are easing her into her college career and looking forward to her in the all around later this season and adding back in her huge front tuck into this routine.

Emerson Smith, West Virginia 9.85 Floor (Debuted Week 1 on floor)

Emerson has always been one to watch on floor. She is very aggressive when she tumbles and to do a full in from a round off as easily as she does you know it’s something special. This routine is going to be huge for the Mountaineers this season.

Jo Jo Valahovic, UNC 9.85 Beam (Debut)

WHAT A PLACE TO DEBUT…. Coleman Coliseum

Jo Jo has great presentation and extension on beam. She always takes her movements to the ultimate and it makes her fun to watch. She is going to be a huge contributor for the Wolf Pack in her freshman season.

Elaina McGovern, Boise State 9.825 Floor

Elaina has been one of Broncos strongest floor performers and that continues in her senior year. She has power throughout the routine and finishes with a big double back.

Alyssa Guns, Kent State 9.85 Beam

Alyssa has contributor many big scores on beam and floor during her college career. She kicked off her senior in fine fashion with this very solid beam routine and named the MAC Specialist of the Week for performances in week 2 (beam and floor).

Lauren O’Brochta, Iowa State 9.825 Beam

Lauren is continuing where she left off in her freshman year…. nailing beam sets for the Cyclones. Her layout layout flight series really is second to none in the NCAA.

Dani Fuertez, Kent State 9.85 Floor

Dani is one to definitely watch in the MAC conference and this floor routine is one of the reasons why. She has a fun routine that get the crowd into it while powering her way to 3 yes 3 (I know not the norm in 2025) tumbling passes ending with a huge double back.
